After the ensuing Red Raven kickoff, Highland's possession ended with Red Raven sophomore DB Jayden Sheppard intercepting the Scottie pass attempt.  Coffeyville then drove 30 yards capped off by Raven red-shirt freshman Steven Robinson galloping 5 yards for the Coffeyville touchdown.  Martens' PAT was good and Coffeyville pushed their lead out to 10-0 roughly five minutes into the first quarter.

On their next possession, Highland's offense drove down to Coffeyville's 7-yard line where the Red Raven defense stiffened and held the Scotties to a 24-yard field goal which pulled the score to 10-3 in favor of Coffeyville.

Early in the second quarter, Coffeyville extended their lead to 13-3 with Martens hitting another field goal, this one from 26 yards out to push the Red Raven lead out to 13-3.

Coffeyville extended their lead on their first possession of the second half.  Coffeyville drove 55 yards on four plays capped off by a Arviso 33-yard touchdown pass to freshman receiver Jalile Bost.  Martens drilled another PAT and the Ravens had a 27-3 lead with ten minutes to go in the third quarter.

Highland was able to score a couple of late touchdowns in the fourth quarter to pull the game within ten points at 27-17 however, Coffeyville then went on a 14-play 75-yard scoring drive that took eight minutes off of the clock.  The last scoring drive by the Red Ravens was capped off by a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Raven sophomore running back Tre'avis Jones.  Martens missed the PAT and Coffeyville posted the final score of 33-17.

Red Raven quarterback Chris Arviso had a game for Coffeyville going 20-26 on pass attempts for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Overall Coffeyville's offense put up 33 points on the Scotties whose defense was ranked #1 in the NJCAA coming into the game only allowing 5 points per game on the year.

Coffeyville will return to action on Saturday, October 12th with a road game to Fort Dodge Iowa to compete against the Tritons of Iowa Central.  Kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
