The Trojans hit four home runs and outscored Indian Hills 11-10 in their first game and dropped a 6-2 decision to Hutchinson CC.
In the game against Indian Hills, NIACC leadoff hitter Katy Olive was 3 for 5, including two home runs, with three runs scored, a career-best five RBIs and two stolen bases. Madisyn Kelley was 3 for 4, including a home run, with two RBIs.
It was the second time in Olive's career that she homered twice in a single game.

The four home runs by the Trojans was the most in a game since they hit six, including two from Olive, against Ellsworth in the second game of a doubleheader on April 18, 2023.
NIACC's Emily Rigdon picked up her first collegiate win in relief. The freshman right-hander, who relieved starter Brynn Stalberger, allowed four runs on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks in 2 2/3 innings of work.
NIACC freshman right-hander Macy Kellar recorded the final out to gain her first career save.
Against Hutchinson CC, NIACC could only manage single runs in the third and fifth innings. Hutchinson CC scored two runs in the second and sixth frames and pushed across single runs in the first and fourth innings.
Olive recorded her third home run of the day with a solo home run and the Trojans received a RBI-double from Rigdon. Olive now has four home runs this season and 18 in her career, which is tied for sixth on the school's career list. Olive also has 16 stolen bases this season and 79 in her career, which ranks third on the school's career list.
Kellar (3-2) took the loss for the Trojans. She allowed five runs (three earned) and six hits with three strikeouts and two walks in six innings of work.
