WALTERS SEES THEIR SEASON END IN ROUND OF 16

The Senators saw their season come to an end in the round of 16 in the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament against the #1 seed Barton Community Colege by an 83-68 final. 

After defeating Daytona State, Walters wasn't able to continue the magic as Barton took control of the contest with six minutes to go in the first half.  The Senators stayed with Barton until Barton finally took the lead for good with 6:21 to go in the first half.  Barton would go on a 27-15 run in the final six minutes to from a tie at 15 to a 42-30 lead at the break.  Walters would bring the deficit to single digits early in the second half before their opponents move up by 15 points, and keep that advantage for the rest of the second half for the win.

Ramondo Battle would lead the Senators with 17 points in the contest   Malachi Hale would come off the bench and score 15 points as the only other player to reach double figures.  Micah Simpson would score eight points to go with a team high three steals in the game.  Jamar Livingston had seven points to go with his team high six rebounds.  Terrance "JR" Jacobs and Carter Metz had five and four assists in the game to lead the Senators.

Walters would end the season with a 29-3 record overall.
