No.20 Men’s Basketball Fall Despite Shooting Over 50% From the Field

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team fell to Iowa Central Community College, 88-84 Nov.19 at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. BJ Stewart had 16 of the 45 first half points for the Blue Devils as he shot 5-9 from the field, 4-7 from three and 2-2 from the free-throw line.

Camron Williford finished with a season-high 19 points and team-high five assists. O'shawn Jones-Winslow dropped 14 points and nine rebounds as 12 of his points came in the second half. Israel Randle tallied 10 points, four assists and three rebounds. Jeremiah Lewis continues to impress from behind the arc as he went 2-3 from three and finished with eight points. As a team, they had 19 turnovers. That puts the Blue Devils at 60 turnovers in the past three games combined.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 31-59 from the field (52.5%), 12-25 from three-point range (48%) and 10-12 from the free-throw line (83.3%). The Tritons shot 35-66 from the field (53%), 8-28 from three-point range (28.6%) and 10-18 from the free-throw line (55.6%).

The next game for the Blue Devils is against Southwestern at 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa.
