No.24 Men’s Basketball Roll by Saint Mary JV

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team took down the University of Saint Mary Spires Varsity Reserve team, 88-42 Nov. 5 at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. Every Blue Devil who recorded a minute, scored a point in the annihilation on Tuesday night.

Darren McHenry was one rebound away from a double-double with his 10 points and nine rebounds. He was efficient from the floor shooting 5-8. Camron Williford had a team-high five assists while also tallying 13 points of his own. Jeremiah Lewis came off the bench and led the team in points with 14. He now has 23 points on the season. O'shawn Jones-Winslow, Andrew Tiemeyer and Ferdinand Agama all recorded 10 points and combined for 15 rebounds and six assists. Both Jackson Flowers and Tamir Anderson recorded their first collegiate points as Anderson drained his very first shot from behind the arc, and Flowers hit a three pointer in the second half.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 33-77 from the field (42.9%), 11-29 from three-point range (37.9%) and 11-16 from the free-throw line (68.8%). The Spires shot 17-76 from the field (22.4%), 5-41 from three-point range (12.2%) and 3-9 from the free-throw line (33.3%).

The next game for the Blue Devils is against Metropolitan Community College – Penn Valley at 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at MCC-Penn Valley for the first game of the KCKCC Hall of Fame Classic.
