Butler Wins Big Over Connors State, Leaves Coffeyville Classic 2-0
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. – Butler women’s basketball capped a 2-0 weekend at Nellis Hall on Saturday afternoon as they took down Connors State 80-55 to finish their stay at the Coffeyville Classic.

Butler knocked down 12 threes and pulled down 61 rebounds on their way to a 25-point win.
The game went to halftime with a slim Grizzly lead at 33-32. Butler poured on 30 points in the third quarter alone and outscored Connors 47-23 in the second half, cruising to the victory.
Freshman guard Keegan Yarick poured in a team-high 20 points off the bench, shooting 4-7 from three, also adding four rebounds and four assists. Three Grizzly starters scored in double figures with freshman Destiny Smith leading the way with 17 points, shooting 3-12 from distance. Freshman guard Ashley Singhateh had 13 points while fellow freshman guard Mya Mayberry led Butler with six assists, also adding nine points. Freshman forward Kenzie Galliart had 10 points and seven rebounds, a near double-double.
The Grizzlies stay on the road next, traveling to Tonkawa, Okla., on Friday, Nov. 15th, taking on NOC-Enid at 4:30 p.m. as part of NOC-Tonkawa's 'Tonkawa Classic'. They will play host school NOC-Tonkawa on Saturday, Nov. 16th, at 3 p.m.
