Eastern Defeats Labette 7-2

Eastern opened up scoring in the second inning when Jarrett Gable's sac fly scored one run for the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third, Madrid induced Austin Lambert to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Wyatt Gray doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs and Cole Broughton's sac fly scored one run for the Mountaineers.

Koty Frank pitched Eastern to victory. He went six innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out 11 and walking zero. Zach Bowerman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Madrid was on the hill for Labette Community College. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out one. Hall threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ethan Williams, Wyatt Gray, Karson Coffee and Mac McCroskey all had one hit to lead the team. The Mountaineers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Wyatt Gray had the most chances in the field with 12.

Coontz went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Labette Community College in hits.
