KCKCC BLUE DEVILS PEAKING AT THE RIGHT TIME

Coaches always talk about their teams needing to peak at the right time in the season.  The timing could not be better for the KCKCC men's basketball team as they sought sweet revenge on Wednesday beating Highland 56-38.  The Blue Devils are playing their best basketball at the right time winning their last 6 straight.

"This game was probably one of our best defensive performances of the season.  In the first half we were flying around the floor helping everyone and moving on the flight of the ball.  We held Highland to 4-24 shooting for 16% allowing only 11 points," said head coach Kelly Newton.

The Blue Devils were led in scoring by Joe Lendway who had 13 points and Babajide Aina who also had 13 points and grabbed 8 boards.  Dehven Taylor provided scoring off the bench chipping in 12. "I felt we were hungry for this game and that is a great feeling especially in February and March.  Now we have to finish our last two games as strong as possible to put us in a better position for post season play," said Coach Newton.

Wednesday's win put the Blue Devils at 20-8 overall and 7-4 in region play.  The Blue Devils play host to the Allen County Red Devils on Saturday, February 21st at 4:00.
