NPCC Women's Basketball wins consecutively in Hesston College Classic

The North Platte Community College Knights Women's Basketball Team played Bethel College JV in their second game of the Hesston College Classic in Hesston, Kan., finishing with a consecutive tournament win, 75-54.

NPCC's Viri Escobar scored 11 points, Ashley Hassett posted 13 points and Janay Brauer put up 14 points.

"This weekend was important for us to come away with two wins. We played very well defensively and did things we wanted to do on the offensive end. We are starting to see glimpses of what we can be offensively, which is nice to see," said NPCC head coach Jeff Thurman.

The Knights next host Western Wyoming Community College at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.

"Now we put our focus on Western Wyoming and continue to get better each day," said Thurman.

The NPCC Women's Basketball Team is currently 4-4 on overall season record.
