The Central Community College women's soccer team lost to Allen County (Kan.) Community College, 1-0, at Raider Field on Wednesday.
The Red Devils scored six minutes into the contest and were able to keep the Raiders from scoring for the remaining 84 minutes. CCC goalie Rachel Willette made seven saves on the day.
"The girls once again battled hard," said CCC head coach Jamie Bennett. "Allen County came into the game undefeated and averaging 5.4 goals per game. The fact that we were able to hold them to one goal will give us confidence going forward. We just have to have someone step up on the offensive side and make some plays."
With the loss, CCC goes to 0-5-1 on the season.
Up next, the Raiders have a 2 p.m. meeting on Saturday at Southeast Community College.
