The Central Community College women's soccer team defeated Hesston College on Wednesday in Hesston, 5-1.

The Raiders were able to control the ball for the majority of the match on Hesston's side of the field. This lead to 11 shots on goal and five goals for the Raiders. The goals were score by Eagan Clark (assisted by Keira Harms), Lily Tilyard (assisted by Aimee Collier), Lea Cordier (assisted by Keira Harms), Eagan Clark (assisted by Talia Gisonni), Talia Gisonni (assisted by Ava Fisher).

"I thought the first half we played hard but didn't play within the game plan," CCC head coach Jamie Bennett said. "Too many mental mistakes led to us having the game a lot closer than it should have been. In the second half, they came out and played amazing and ended up with a pretty easy win."

With the win, the Raiders improve to 7-2-1 and are back in action on Wednesday at Johnson County (Kan.) Community College at 4 p.m.
