#10 Ranked Red Raven Men's Basketball Opens Season With Dominating Win Over MSU-West Plains 86-46

The #10 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball team opened their season in dominating fashion with a 86-46 home victory over Missouri State University-West Plains.  The game was played in Nellis West Gymnasium, but due to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) current covid restrictions, no spectators were allowed.

The Red Ravens looked good right from the opening tip-off, jumping out early to a 10 point lead before cruising into halftime up 41-22.  In the second half, the Ravens were never really tested, putting the Grizzlies of MSU-West Plains away for the 86-46 victory.

Coffeyville's size and strength were really the differences in this game along with balanced scoring.  The Ravens outrebounded the Grizzlies 58-40 for the game along with swatting eight block shots.  Coffeyville had seven players score at least 8 points or more.

Top performers for Coffeyville in the opening game included;
