KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 8

Co-KJCCC West Player of the Week: Micah Kobuszewski - Butler Community College & Luis Pimental-Guerrero – Hutchinson Community College
Micah more totaled two four hit games, two multi-RBI games and walked five times compared to just one strikeout on the week. In a 20-6 win over Garden he totaled four hits, two runs driven in and two walks.

 Freshman Luis Pimentel -Guerrero hit .438 with a .625 on-base percentage in a 5-0 week for the Blue Dragons. Pimentel-Guerrero had hits in all five games. He went 2 for 4 with a season-high five RBIs and two runs scored in a 10-0 win over Colby on the road.

KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Reece Hemmerling - Barton Community College  
Reece Hemmerling was sensational once again taking the ball in the series opener pitching his second complete game shutout of the season in Barton's 8-0 win over Pratt. Improving to 3-1 on the year, the sophomore collected his second straight victory permitting eight hits and six strikeouts. Faced in a bases loaded no-out jam following three straight singles to open the sixth, Hemmerling dug deep recording back-to-back strikeouts and fly-out to escape trouble in persevering the shutout.
