KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 12

KJCCC West Player of the Week: Nathan Hopkins – Seward County Community College
Nathan Hopkins was a hero for the Saints throughout the four-game series with Butler this past week as Hopkins was the only Saints to record a hit in every game against the Grizzlies. He hit .438 on the week while scoring 8 runs and recording 2 RBIs, 2 2Bs, 1 3B, and a big home run in the clutch of game four  on the first pitch in the bottom of the ninth to clinch the series win over Butler as Seward County won the last three games of the series 15-5, 15-14, and 7-6. 

KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Caden Kickhaefer – Butler Community College 
Caden Kickhaefer turned in a career effort on Friday vs. Seward. He tossed a complete game 7.0 inning shutout helping the Grizzlies to a 2-0 series opening win. Kickhaefer struck out a career-high 10, walking just two and allowing only two hits.
