KJCCC East Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 14

KJCCC East Player of the Week: Dagen Brewer – Johnson County Community College 
Johnson County sophomore designated hitter Dagen Brewer helped lead the No. 2 ranked Cavaliers to a series win over Kansas City Kansas last weekend, securing a KjCCC East Division title for a second straight year. He hit .308 (4-for-13) with a double, two home runs, four runs scored and six driven in. He was also solid in the field with 18 putouts, one assist and no errors. Brewer currently leads the conference in RBI (80), ranks second in extra base hits (34), tied for third in home runs (17) and tied for sixth in doubles (16). His 80 RBI rank fifth in the NJCAA. 

KJCCC East Pitcher of the Week: Mason Davenport – Kansas City Kansas Community College
Mason Davenport had a tough task going up against the No.2 team in the country who averaged 10.1 runs per game at that given time. Mason not only held the Cavaliers to three runs but he allowed just six hits and one walk while striking out nine batters. The Stetson commit is averaging 10.67 strikeouts per nine innings and obtains a 3.92 ERA. He will heavenly relied upononce postseason starts this Thursday, May 3.
