KJCCC Baseball East Division Players of the Week - Week 3
COLBY, Kan. – Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division Baseball Player of the Week honors for week three have been earned by Johnson County’s Ryker Edwards while Kansas City Kansas Community College pitcher Bryson Vawter has earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the first time this season.
Ryker Edwards – Johnson County (KJCCC Baseball East Division Player of the Week)
Johnson County sophomore outfielder Ryker Edwards helped the fifth-ranked Cavaliers earn a split against Metropolitan last week. Edwards hit .426 (3-for-7) and slugged .571 with a double, three runs scored, and three RBI while also drawing two walks.
Bryson Vawter – KCKCC (KJCCC Baseball East Division Pitcher of the Week)
Vawter opened the season on the mound for the Blue Devils and struck out eight in five innings of work to pick up a win as part of an 8-2 KCKCC victory over Hinds Community College.
