KJCCC Baseball East Division Players of the Week - Week 4
COLBY, Kan. – For a second-straight week Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division Baseball Player of the Week honors have been earned by players from Kansas City Kansas Community College and Johnson County Community College with Blue Devil catcher Braden Horn and Cavalier pitcher Josiah Golden taking home week four honors.
Braden Horn – KCKCC (KJCCC Baseball East Division Player of the Week)
Redshirt freshman catcher Braden Horn went 5-10 from the plate last week and hit three home runs while helping Kansas City Kansas Community College to a 2-2 week. Horn's biggest game of the week was in the series-opening game against Dodge City with two solo home runs and a walk as the Blue Devils earned a 12-7 win. Defensively, Horn recorded 25 putouts and had five assists with no errors.
Josiah Golden – Johnson County (KJCCC Baseball East Division Pitcher of the Week)
Johnson County sophomore right-hander Josiah Golden allowed only one hit and struck out six batters over four scoreless innings of work on the mound in a 10-0 five-inning victory over Pratt Sunday afternoon. With the victory, Golden improves to 2-1 on the season with 22 strikeouts in 16 innings of work.
