CHARLOTTE, NC – Helping Barton throw a season-opening combined no-hitter which led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week honors, Barton Community College’s Anthony Treto has earned NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades to become the first conference pitcher this season to earn the award.
Anthony Treto (Barton) – NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Anthony Treto was sensational in his season debut helping the Cougars toss a seven-inning combined no-hitter in Barton's season opening 2-0 win at Rose State. Treto worked the opening four-innings surrendering just one walk while fanning five Raiders on his way to picking up his first win of the season. Handing the ball off to Antonio Mendez for the final three innings, the freshman reliever was lights out over the final three innings in way of securing his first collegiate save permitting just one base runner coming on a two-out walk in the seventh before preserving Barton's first no-hitter since 2014 with his second strikeout.
