Redshirt freshman left-hander Zack Wilson picked up a
complete-game victory and a save for the No. 8 Blue Dragons
this past week. For the week, Wilson tossed 11 shutout innings with
14 strikeouts and one walk, while scattering 11 hits.
Against Seminole State in a come-from-behind 9-8 victory, Wilson
entered the game with bases loaded and no outs and tossed a six-out
save with four strikeouts and only one hit allowed. In
his first start of the Jayhawk West season on Saturday vs. Cloud
County, Wilson struck out a career-high 10 and his first career
shutout as he walked only one and scattered five hits. Wilson also
picked off a Cloud County runner at first base. Wilson
has not allowed a run in his last six appearances (2 starts, 4
relief). He is 2-0 with a save over that span. Weekly Statistics
