Pauls won his first career event, winning the Panhandle State Invitational. Pauls blistered Sunset Hills Golf Course with an opening-round 67, which had five birdies, four bogeys and was highlighted by a 95-foot putt from off the green that went in for an eagle. A 40-mph wind from the south sent scores soaring in the final round. Pauls finished with a 5-over 75 and a two-day total of 2-over 142.
