Becca Boan helped JCCC defeat a 13-1 Labette squad, and down perennial conference power Cowley County on the road last week, upping JCCC season mark to 13-6, and 5-1 in the East Jayhawk Conference. Boan averaged 20.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals over the three games. Against Labette, Boan had 17 points, five rebounds, seven assists and four steals. In the win at Cowley County, the first for a JCCC team since 1992, Boan led the Cavaliers with 28 points, one shy of her season high. She also hit a seasn-high five 3-point baskets. For the season, Boan averages 17.4 points, 4.7 rebounds 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game. She leads the team with 40 3-point field goals. Boan has scored in double figures in 17 of her 19 collegiate games, including seven games of 20 or more points.

Comments: Last week, McCue was named NJCAA Player of the Week for women's basketball. McCue scored 18 points with six rebounds against Pratt and then scored 11 points with five rebounds at Colby. McCue has led the No. 5 Lady Saints to a 17-1 record this season.
