Tamara JonesGarden City Community College 6’ Sophomore Prosser, WA Jones had another big night on sophomore night to end her regular season career at Garden City. She scored 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the Broncbusters’ 16 point win over Dodge City. Jones was one point shy of tallying half of GCCC’s points for the night. She shot over 60% from the field and 50% from the 3pt. line. She also dished out five assists and did not turn the ball over at all. Weekly Statistics |
Kadeem AllenHutchinson Community College 6'3" 180 Freshman Wilmington, NC Freshman guard Kadeem Allen had tremendous efforts just about 20 hours apart to lead the No. 6 Blue Dragons to a pair of come-from-behind victories over Cloud County and Pratt. For the week, Allen averaged 25.5 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field. He averages 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. Against Cloud County on Saturday, Allen scored 24 of his career-high 31 points in the second half to lead HCC back from a five-point halftime deficit. Allen was 9 of 13 shooting, going 12 of 17 from the foul line with 7 rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks. Because of winter weather, the Pratt game was moved up to Sunday. Despite a sore back after a hard fall in the Cloud game, Allen scored 29 points, hitting 12 of 14 from the foul line to lead Hutchinson back from a 14-point second-half deficit.
