KJCCC Men's Soccer With Four Teams In Latest NJCAA Rankings, Three Hold Top-10 Rankings
CHARLOTTE, NC – Three men’s soccer teams from the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference have earned top 10 rankings in the week three NJCAA Men’s Soccer polls with four teams ranked in the latest rankings released on Monday, September 16th.
NJCAA Division 1 Men's Soccer Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Men's Soccer Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – Three men’s soccer teams from the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference have earned top 10 rankings in the week three NJCAA Men’s Soccer polls with four teams ranked in the latest rankings released on Monday, September 16th.
In total, four teams from the conference are ranked in the newest polls with two KJCCC teams represented in both the NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer and NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer top 20 polls.
The NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer poll features the biggest jump of the week from any team in either poll as a five-spot jump from Neosho County Community College has seen the Panthers move up from the number 12 ranking all the way to the number seven ranked team in the nation after defeating previously number seven ranked Johnson County by a score of 4-2. As for the Cavaliers, JCCC falls just one spot and is now ranked number eight after suffering their second defeat of the season as both of their losses have come to teams ranked in the top seven of the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer rankings.
Also holding a top 10 ranking in the NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer poll is number four-ranked Cowley Community College as the Tigers earned a 4-1 win over previously number 20 ranked Lewis & Clark Community College in non-conference action before picking up a 1-0 win over Coffeyville. Cowley is one of two teams within the KJCCC to remain unbeaten this season at 5-0-1 as the Tigers are tied atop the KJCCC Division 1 men’s soccer standings with a 3-0-1 conference mark. Also ranked in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer Top 20 is number 14 ranked Barton as the Cougars fell seven spots following their 2-1 road loss to Kansas City Kansas Community College in their lone game of the week last week.
In this week’s action across the conference, number 14 Barton will take on number four Cowley in Arkansas City at 7 PM on Wednesday, September 18th in the only ranked matchup of the week. Other matches with big implications on the conference standings include Cowley heading to Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday, September 21st for a battle of the top two teams in the KJCCC Division 1 men’s soccer standings while Pratt will take on Neosho on Saturday in a battle of two of the top three teams in the KJCCC Division 2 men’s soccer standings.
