JCCC freshman forward Jorge Rivero fueled a late comeback attempt scoring two goals in the final 14 minutes to pull the Cavaliers even with Cloud and send the game into overtime. Freshman Bailey Shupe made two spectacular saves with the game in the balance early in Hutchinson’s 7-1 victory over KCK. Shupe made a diving stop of a low shot to her left on a corner kick and then went 1-on-1 on a KCK breakaway and made the save.    Last Week's Stats

Mauricio Vargas was stellar in goal against two nationally recognized opponents this past weekend in Cheyenne, WY.  Vargas held both No. 18 Laramie County Community College and nationally receiving votes Otero Junior College scoreless making ten saves in 135 minutes of play.  Working among an inexperienced back line defense with three newcomers to the Cougar lineup, Vargas’ leadership and knowledge of the game allowed his domination of the defensive field.    Last Week's Stats
