JCCC freshman midfielder Courtney Hughes played a part in eight of the 10 goals JCCC scored in their two wins last week. In a 7-2 win over Garden City, Hughes scored four goals and assisted on one. Even though the Cougars lost two games to two highly nationally ranked teams, Barton Community College goalkeeper Mauricio Vargas had tremendous effort in goal.   Facing thirty-five shots on goal over the weekend in Dallas, Texas, Vargas saved eighty-six percent of the scoring attempts.  Against No. 3 Tyler Junior College, Vargas made an astounding twenty-five saves in a ninety-ninth minute extra time 1-0 loss.   Last Week's Stats
