KJCCC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week – Outdoor Week 1
Outdoor track and field season is underway and week one of KJCCC Athletes of the Week have been awarded.
MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Nakoah Witt (Coffeyville) - Witt currently ranks second in the NJCAA in the 400-meter. He opened the outdoor season with a time of 53.66; which is a personal record by a whole second. He also recorded a personal best in the 200-meter run with a time of 21.57 and ran on the 4x100m relay that qualified for Nationals competing at the Texas Southern Relays.
MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Tremaine Browne (Colby) – Competing at the West Texas A&M Spring Break Open posted a leap of 7.26 meters in the long jump to win the event, along with being a personal record, NJCAA qualifying mark and lead the nation. He also won the triple jump with a leap of 14.01 meters.
