KJCCC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week – Outdoor Week 2
Outdoor track and field season continues and the week two of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded.
MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Leroy Kamau (Cloud County) – He won both the 100m (10.52) and 200m (20.99) at the Mark Phillips Invitational hosted by Cowley. His time in the 200m currently ranks third in NJCAA. He also rank the second leg on the first place team in the 4x100m relay (40.74). All three times are NJCAA qualifying performances.
MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Trevor Gunzell (Coffeyville) – He broke the Coffeyville school record on back-to-back throws, with his best throw being 18.70m in shot put to break the school record by two-feet at the Mark Phillips Invitational hosted by Cowley. The mark currently ranks #1 in the NJCAA.
