KJCCC Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week - Week 2
COLBY, Kan. – A top 10 all-time NJCAA 4x400 meter relay time and a top five NJCAA mark this season in the triple jump has led to Coffeyville Community College sweeping this week’s Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Coffeyville 4x400 Relay (Xander Roberts-Bogin, Zyan Greene, Usir Bey, Latrell Johnson) – KJCCC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
The Coffeyville Community College 4x400 relay team of Xander Roberts-Bogin (Sophomore), Zyan Greene (Sophomore), Usir Bey (Freshman), and Latrell Johnson (Freshman) posted the top 4x400 meter relay time in the NJCAA this season and 10th best time in NJCAA history at the University of Arkansas Invitational while placing fourth behind only the University of Texas (3:08.45), University of Arkansas "A" relay (3:08.52), and University of Arkansas "B" relay (3:09.36). The time is nearly three seconds faster than any other 4x400 relay time in the NJCAA this season.
Jaylon Burke (Coffeyville) – KJCCC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Burke placed second in the triple jump at the Kansas State University Thane Baker Invitational with a mark of 15.35 meters (50' 4.5"). The mark is the fourth-best in the NJCAA this season and was a personal best for the sophomore.
