Player of the Week: Jaeleigh Darnell (Hutchinson)

Hutchinson Community College sophomore right fielder Jaeleigh Darnell hit .571 and slugged 1.928 in a 4-0 week for the Blue Dragons. Darnell was a combined 10 for 14 with three doubles, five home runs and 10 RBIs in a pair of doubleheader weeks of Labette and Seward County last week. She had two 4-for-4 games and two two-homer games, extending her hitting streak to 16 games.

Pitcher of the Week: Dakota Lake (Hutchinson)

Freshman pitcher Dakota Lake had four impressive shutout performances with two saves last week for the Blue Dragons. Lake pitched 9 1/3 innings and struck out 17 batters. Lake allowed only two hits and four walks. Both saves came in the Blue Dragons' road wins over Labette.
