2024 KJCCC Softball Division I Week 8 Players of the Week

Player of the Week: Olivia Sandoval (Hutchinson)

Hutchinson Community College sophomore third baseman Olivia Sandoval hit .545 with a .522 on-base percentage to lead the Blue Dragons to a 5-1 week, which included a run-rule victory over No. 18 Butler. Sandoval, who moved into No. 3 on the Blue Dragon career hit list with 128, was 12 of 22 with two doubles a home run and nine RBIs. She had four straight multi-hit games, including a 4 for 5 game against Garden City

Pitcher of the Week: Dakota Lake (Hutchinson)

Freshman pitcher Dakota Lake had a win and a save to leading the Blue Dragons to a 5-1 week, including a run-rule win over No. 18 Butler. Lake had 17 strikeouts in seven innings with a save against Garden City and a win in a come-from0behind 15-7 win over Barton.
