Player of the Week: Elysia Marquez

Freshman Elysia Marquez had herself a week with 18 total at bats with 10 hits and 11 runs. In those 18 appearances she brought home 18 RBIS, with four doubles, and five home runs. Marquez has been a dominant hitter all season for the Beavers.

Pitcher of the Week: Dakota Lake (Hutchinson)

Hutchinson freshman pitcher Dakota Lake went 2-0 with two complete games to help the Blue Dragons to a 4-0 week last week. Lake tied a career high with 13 strikeouts in a 7-inning complete game win over Garden City. She followed that with a three-shutout in a 5-inning 12-0 win over Barton in Great Bend. The league leader in strikeouts had seven strikeouts in the game vs. the Cougars.
