Johnson County freshman Jaylee Jefferson helped lead the No. 7-ranked Lady Cavaliers to a 5-1 win and secure the Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference championship. She hit .571 over the week (12-for-21) with two doubles, two home runs, four base-on-balls, 10 runs scored, and 11 RBI. Jaylee is batting .405  (6-for-148) for the season with 19 doubles, a triple, 12 homers, 60 runs, and 64 driven in. She ranks second in the conference in runs, tied for sixth in doubles, tied for ninth in home runs, and fourth in RBI.

Johnson County freshman right-hand pitcher Maggie McNally picked up two wins and a save last for the Lady Cavaliers on the way to winning the Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference title. She opened the week with a complete game 4-3 victory at nationally ranked Cowley, allowing three runs over two hits with five strikeouts over seven innings. She followed with a save in a 6-5 win at Kansas City, Kansas, and capped the week with a victory against Coffeyville. The right-hander allowed just one hit, no runs, and struck out five in four innings in the circle. McNally stands 12-3 with two saves on the season. She has 95 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.04, which leads the conference.
