KJCCC Division 2 Softball Players of the Week - Week 5
COLBY, Kan. – A career-best 15-strikeout performance by Kansas City Kansas pitcher Alyssa Droge and a week that saw Cloud County sophomore Camille Stauffer hit .688 at the plate have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Player of the Week awards for week five of the 2025 season.
Camille Stauffer – Cloud County (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week)
Sophomore catcher Camille Stauffer helped lead the Cloud County softball team to three straight wins last week, including a road victory over Central Community College, followed by a home sweep of Iowa Lakes. Stauffer hit .688 for the week with a .773 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage. Stauffer had 11 hits in 16 at-bats with two home runs, one double, seven runs scored, and 11 RBI. The sophomore also drew six walks and added two stolen bases. Behind the plate, Stauffer caught three games and had 13 putouts defensively.
Alyssa Droge – KCKCC (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Droge set a new career-high in strikeouts with 15 in Sunday's matchup against NJCAA D1 State Fair as the Blue Devils picked up a 4-3 win to close out the week. For the week, Droge threw for 12.2 innings and recorded 21 strikeouts in the circle while recording two assists in the field in her only two defensive chances.
