KJCCC Division 2 Softball Players of the Week - Week 7
COLBY, Kan. – A three home run week for Labette’s Jaden Jordan and two pitching victories in the circle for Johnson County’s Elsa Carrillo have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Player of the Week honors for week 7 of the 2025 season.
Jaden Jordan – Labette (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week)
Jordan hit .600 (six-for-10) last week with three home runs and seven RBI for Labette Community College as the Cardinals went 2-2 over the course of four games. The sophomore had a home run in each of the last three games of the week to go along with three stolen bases on the base paths.
Elsa Carrillo – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Johnson County freshman pitcher Elsa Carrillo picked up two victories for the Cavaliers last week. The right-hander hurled a complete-game shutout against Dawson on Tuesday, scattering five hits with no runs and four strikeouts over five innings. On Thursday at Iowa Western, Carrillo relieved starter Jalin Lavers after an inning and a third and shut down the Reivers over the next 6.2 innings. Carillo allowed no runs and just three hits while striking out a season-high eight batters in relief as the Cavaliers picked up an 11-8 win. For the week, Carillo hurled 11.2 scoreless innings while striking out 12 batters.
