Six KJCCC Softball Teams Now Ranked Or Receiving Votes In Week 4 Poll
NJCAA Division 1 Softball Week 4 Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Softball Week 4 Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – Changes continue to occur within the NJCAA Softball polls as the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference now has six total teams either ranked or receiving votes in the latest Division 1 and Division 2 polls released on Monday, March 17th.
After seeing the last three weeks feature just one KJCCC Division 1 team in the rankings, the conference now has two additional teams receiving votes in the latest poll while the Division 2 poll has three additional KJCCC teams ranked for a second straight week.
The highest-ranked team in the Division 1 poll is once again Butler Community College as the Grizzlies dropped one spot to number 15 in the poll for their first change of the season after spending each of the first four polls in the number 14 spot while both Hutchinson and Barton are among those receiving votes, marking the second time that the Blue Dragons are in the poll after being ranked number 22 in the preseason poll while the Cougars are making their 2025 debut in the rankings.
Some minor shuffling took place in the latest Division 2 poll as Johnson County remains unchanged at number 16 after going 3-1 last week with wins over Dawson Community College and Iowa Western while Neosho County joins the poll at receiving votes the week before and Kansas City Kansas remains ranked at number 23 after spending last week ranked at number 19. Neosho County’s ascent into the rankings comes after splitting doubleheaders with number six Des Moines Area Community College and number 12 ranked Kirkwood Community College last week while Kansas City Kansas split six games last week at home.
This week’s schedule gets underway with a non-conference matchup of ranked teams with Barton hosting Neosho County for a doubleheader before seeing conference action at the division 1 level resume on Tuesday. In total 65 games will take place involving conference teams this week before seeing conference play begin at the division 2 level next week.
