KJCCC Kansas MTXE Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week, Week 8, 2018

Scout Frame became just the third women's basketball player in Cloud County's history to score 40 points in a game last week, joining Tawana Jackson (1993-93) and Miklannet Tennal (2001-02), to lead the T-Birds to a 93-74 road win over Allen County. Frame added 12 rebounds in the win for her sixth double-double of the season.  The freshman followed that up with a 21-point performance against the stout front line of Independence on Saturday. In total, she averaged 30.5 points per game for the week while shooting at a 61 percent clip.

Mariane Carvalho averaged 23.5 ppg in  wins 18 and 19 this past week to become Highland Community College's all-time leading scorer with 989 career points. Carvalho passes former All-Jayhawk conference player and all-American Szonja Vukov.  She shot over 50% from the field while also pulling down 8.5 rpg , dished out 10 assists and had 3 steals.
