The #6 Highland women's basketball team heads into the holiday break with a perfect 13-0 record after picking up a home win over Metropolitan (86-44) and road win over Missouri Baptist JV (86-58). Sophomore, Tiana Gipson continues to highlight the season for the Scotties as she dropped 27 and 30 point performances.
Gipson tallied 27 points on 10-18 shooting including 6-14 from three in the win over MCC adding six rebounds, three assists and two steals. She followed that up with her eighth 30+ point performance of her career with 30 points on 11-18 shooting including 8-13 from three adding four rebounds, two assists and three steals.
On the season Gipson is averaging 24 points per game on 49.8% shooting including 42.9% from three-point range, she's added 2.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and four steals per game.
The sophomore leads the Nation in NJCAA DII in made three-pointers with 67 which is 17 more than the second most. She also ranks second in total field goals made with 110 and total points with 312, while ranking third in points per game and steals (52). Also ranks 14th in the Nation in steals per game.
