Dodge City, Hutchinson Qualify For NJCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball National Tournament

CHARLOTTE, NC – NJCAA Region 6 Division 1 Women’s Basketball Tournament Champion Dodge City Community College and reigning National Champion Hutchinson Community College will both represent the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference at the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball National Tournament following the official bracket reveal by the NJCAA national office on Sunday, March 16th.
Both teams will take part in the National Tournament for a second-straight season, with Dodge City receiving a first-round bye and the number four overall seed in the 24-team field while Hutchinson received one of eight at-large berths to earn the number 11 overall seed.
With the first-round bye for the Conquistadors, Dodge City will play their first game on Thursday, March 27th at 4:45 PM (MDT) against the winner of number 13 seed Arizona Western and number 20 seed State Fair Community College. Other teams on Dodge City’s side of the bracket to receive a first-round bye include number one-seed Chipola College, number eight-seed Shelton State, and number five-seed New Mexico Junior College.
Hutchinson’s path to defending their National Title begins on Wednesday, March 26th as the Blue Dragons will take on number 22 seed South Georgia Tech with tip-off set for 4:45 PM (MDT). The winner of the opening round game between Hutchinson and South Georgia Tech will advance to take on number six seed Three Rivers Community College at 4:45 PM (MDT) on Friday, March 28th as Three Rivers, number two-seed Wabash Valley, number three-seed Northwest Florida State, and number seven-seed McLennan all received first-round byes on Hutchinson’s side of the bracket.
All games of the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball National Tournament will take place at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming, with all games (except the National Championship game) being streamed live on ESPN+ (https://plus.espn.com/). The 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball National Championship game will take place on Tuesday, April 1 at 4 PM (MDT) with the game airing live on ESPNU.
