KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 1
COLBY, Kan. – Massive performances from Garden City guard Antonicia Moultrie and Kansas City Kansas forward Capri Garrett have netted each of the sophomores the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Basketball Player of the Week honors for the 2024-25 season.
COLBY, Kan. – Massive performances from Garden City guard Antonicia Moultrie and Kansas City Kansas forward Capri Garrett have netted each of the sophomores the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Basketball Player of the Week honors for the 2024-25 season.
Antonicia Moultrie – Garden City (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Moultrie was key in both victories for Garden City at the Otero College Classic with timely steals and rebounds to help the Broncbusters to wins over Eastern Wyoming College and Otero College. After posting a season-opening triple-double against Eastern Wyoming with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 steals, Moultrie was two steals shy of posting back-to-back triple-doubles by finishing with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and eight steals against Otero.
Capri Garrett – KCKCC (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Capri Garrett was in control under the rim all night for KCKCC in the Blue Devil season opener as part of a 72-71 win over the University of Saint Mary JV team. Netting 20 points, Garrett finished the game with 21 rebounds (third most in single-game program history) while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and added five blocks on the defensive end.
