KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 3
COLBY, Kan. – 2-0 weeks for both Dodge City Community College and Fort Scott Community College were led by the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Basketball Week 3 Players of the Week Shorna Preston (Division 1) and Kyleigh Scoggins (Division 2).

Shorna Preston – Dodge City (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Dodge City women's basketball team rolled to a pair of wins at the Western Nebraska Classic against Eastern Wyoming & Laramie County. Shorna Preston recorded a pair of double doubles giving her five on the season in six games. Preston posted 16 points on 60 percent shooting with 13 rebounds including 10 offensive boards along with five assists, and two steals in the win over Eastern Wyoming. She followed that up with a near triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists along with one steal and one block in a win over Laramie County. Preston currently ranks 13th in the NJCAA and second in KJCCC in total rebounds (63).
Kyleigh Scoggins – Fort Scott (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Scoggins led Fort Scott to a pair of victories last week as the Greyhounds defeated Shorter College 61-55 and Cottey College JV 57-45. Against Shorter, Scoggins scored 27 points while going four-for-eight from beyond the arc while grabbing six rebounds and followed up her performance with a 15-point, six-rebound outing against Cottey JV. This season, Scoggins is averaging 13.7 points per game which ranks seventh in the KJCCC.
