KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 4
COLBY, Kan. – For the first time this season, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has repeat winners for the KJCCC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week awards with Shorna Preston (Dodge City) and Cameron McNamara (Highland) both winning their second awards of the season.

Shorna Preston – Dodge City (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Dodge City opened KJCCC play 2-0 beating rival Garden City on the road and topping Cloud County at home. Shorna Preston continued her monster start to the season with two more double-doubles giving her seven in eight games this season. Against Garden City, Preston recorded 14 points on six-of-eight shooting adding 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two blocks. The sophomore followed that up with 11 points against Cloud County and matched her career-high with 15 rebounds along with six assists, four steals, and two blocks. She ranks ninth in the NJCAA in total rebounds (90), 12th in rebounds per game (11.3), and 18th in blocks (11).
Cameron McNamara – Highland (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
McNamara had another monster week in three games for the number seven-ranked Scotties who went 3-0 which included a win over D3 number two-ranked Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Pouring in over 20 points in each game, the sophomore was two points shy of a career-high against Iowa Central by scoring 27 points and grabbing five offensive rebounds while averaging six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks per game this week. Nationally, McNamara ranks 24th in scoring average (20.2) while ranking in the top 10 in total blocks (21, third) and steals (31, eighth).
