First NJCAA Women's Basketball Polls Of Regular Season Feature 8 KJCCC Teams
CHARLOTTE, NC – With two weeks of the regular season completed, the first NJCAA women’s basketball polls of the regular season have been released with eight total Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams ranked or receiving votes among the Division 1 and Division 2 polls released on Tuesday, November 12th.

CHARLOTTE, NC – With two weeks of the regular season completed, the first NJCAA women’s basketball polls of the regular season have been released with eight total Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams ranked or receiving votes among the Division 1 and Division 2 polls released on Tuesday, November 12th.
All four teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Top 25 poll either held their ranking or moved up with two of the four schools in the NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball Top 25 poll also holding or improving their preseason ranking.
Starting the season a perfect 4-0, Hutchinson remains atop the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball poll after receiving all 12 first place votes as the Blue Dragons are joined by KJCCC school Dodge City Community College who made a five-spot jump into the top 10 by taking the number nine spot in the week one rankings. A strong start from both Garden City and Butler has propelled both teams into consideration for rankings as the Broncbusters come in as the number 25-ranked team after being unranked in the preseason while the Grizzlies have earned a pair of wins over teams from NJCAA Region 2 to boost their way into a group of four teams receiving votes this week.
A strong showing was also seen by the KJCCC Division 2 schools as Johnson County Community College is off to a 5-0 start to hold their number two ranking behind only defending National Champion Kirkwood Community College as the Cavaliers have won each of their five contests by an average of 60 points per game. Moving from unranked into the top 12 is Highland as the Scotties are also undefeated with a 5-0 record to hold the number 11 ranking heading into the week with their unbeaten record including a win over number 13 ranked North Central Missouri College. Preseason number 13 ranked Kansas City Kansas Community College dropped one spot to 14th despite starting 4-0 on the year while Allen Community College also saw a one-spot drop from 19th to 20th after a 3-0 start to their season.
Six consecutive days of women’s basketball action sees 41 total games taking place across the league this week as week three will be the final week prior to the start of KJCCC play for Division 1 schools while Division 2 schools will continue with their 16 game non-conference schedule. Six of the eight teams currently ranked or receiving votes will be in action on Friday with the other two teams ranked or receiving votes will also have at least one game taking place over the weekend.
