KJCCC Women's Basketball With Eight Total Teams Ranked Or Receiving Votes In Week 3 Polls
CHARLOTTE, NC – With just one week remaining in the opening month of the NJCAA basketball season, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference now has eight teams featured as ranked or receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division 1 and 2 Women’s Basketball Top 25 polls released on Monday, November 25th.

CHARLOTTE, NC – With just one week remaining in the opening month of the NJCAA basketball season, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference now has eight teams featured as ranked or receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division 1 and 2 Women’s Basketball Top 25 polls released on Monday, November 25th.
After having seven teams that were ranked last week, one newcomer to the NJCAA Division 1 poll (Coffeyville) gives the conference four teams in both polls as minor changes for KJCCC schools were seen in the week three polls.
A 2-0 start in KJCCC play for Hutchinson keeps the Blue Dragons at the top of the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball poll after receiving all 12 first-place votes while improving to 8-0 as the top three teams remain unchanged from last week. Dodge City Community College also picked up a pair of wins to begin conference play with a road win over Garden City before taking down previously unbeaten Cloud County at home to move up three spots to number six. The KJCCC also has Butler making a one-spot improvement from last week as the Grizzlies check in at number 23 this week with a perfect 6-0 record while Coffeyville is one of three teams that received votes this week that is unranked following wins at Fort Hays Tech Northwest and Colby to improve to 7-0 this season.
Within the NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball poll, three of the four KJCCC teams that are ranked this week hold their same ranking as the previous week with Johnson County Johnson County ranked number two, Highland ranked number seven, and Neosho County ranked number 21. Improving one spot and going from number 19 up to 18 is Allen Community College as the Red Devils remain unbeaten this season at 7-0 as the four ranked teams from the conference are a combined 32-2 overall with the only losses coming from NJCAA D1 number one Hutchinson and NJCAA D2 number 12 North Central Missouri.
A busy start to the week will see 10 games take place across Monday and Tuesday with six of the games coming on the D1 side in conference play ahead of the Thanksgiving break with one additional non-conference game coming in D2 action Wednesday afternoon. Saturday will also be a busy day across the conference with nine games taking place to close out the month of November.
