(KJCCC) December 14, 2022 – Northwest Tech Wrestler Jameel Coles (184lbs) went 4-1, placing third at the Bob Smith Open in Hays, KS. 

In Champ. Round 1, Jameel Coles won over Tommy Roger (Cloud County) by Decision, 9-2. In the Quarterfinals, Coles won over the former NJCAA National Champ for NWKTC (2021), Jacari Deal (Nebraska-Kearney) by Decision, 6-3. In the Semifinals, Coles lost to 2x Oklahoma State Champ Garrett Wells (Unattached) by Decision, 8-5. 

In the Cons. Semifinals, Jameel won over Jd Johnson (Newman) by Major Decision, 18-6. In the 3rd Place Match, Coles won over Former Kansas State Champ Trevor Dopps (Oklahoma State) by Decision, 4-2.
