2024 KJCCC Division 1 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 3
COLBY, Kan. – Hutchinson Community College midfielder Kira Artmann and Butler Community College goalkeeper Rylie Schiffelbein have been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for week three of the 2024 season.
COLBY, Kan. – Hutchinson Community College midfielder Kira Artmann and Butler Community College goalkeeper Rylie Schiffelbein have been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for week three of the 2024 season.
Kira Artmann (Hutchinson) – Artmann had a four-point week in a 1-1 week for the number 18 ranked Blue Dragons. After providing an assist as part a 3-0 victory over Dodge City on Wednesday night, Artmann had a goal and an assist against number 10 Butler in a 3-2 loss to the Grizzlies.
Rylie Schiffelbein (Butler) – Schiffelbein registered a career-high nine saves, allowing just the one goal as the number 10 Grizzlies earned a 1-1 draw at number 12 Kansas City on Wednesday evening. Thwarting two Blue Devil breakaways in the second half before seeing KCKCC draw even in the final 75 seconds of the match, Schiffelbein and the Grizzlies capped off their week with a 3-2 home victory over number 18 Hutchinson. Once again in goal for Butler, Schiffelbein was spectacular by making eight saves with several in highlight fashion. Schiffelbein is now 3-0-2 on the season with a 0.95 GAA in 380 minutes played.
