Sierra Montez (KCKCC) – Kansas City, Kansas native Sierra Montez scored three goals this past week, two of which were game-winning goals. Montez scored in the 83rd minute against Garden City on Wednesday to make it 3-2 in favor of the Blue Devils. She now has eight goals on the season, tied for fifth-most in the KJCCC, and is third in the KJCCC with 21 points. The Blue Devil offense is as successful as it is due to the presence she brings to the midfield and how quickly she can counterattack.
Marina Lopez (Hutchinson) – In her lone action of the week, Blue Dragon freshman goalkeeper Marina Lopez earned a shutout victory in a 1-0 win for number 17 Hutchinson over Garden City on Saturday. Lopez had four saves in her second shutout of the season, making a diving save without allowing a rebound to keep the Dragons in the lead with 12 minutes to play in the second half.
