2024 KJCCC Division 2 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 6
COLBY, Kan. – A four-goal week for Allen County Community College forward Audrey Smith and another shutout for Johnson County goalkeeper Maddox Fergus has led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors for week six.
COLBY, Kan. – A four-goal week for Allen County Community College forward Audrey Smith and another shutout for Johnson County goalkeeper Maddox Fergus has led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors for week six.
Audrey Smith (Allen) - Smith put four of her five shots on goal in the back of the net this past week as Allen County went 1-1 to close out the month of September in KJCCC play. After falling 5-0 against #16 Neosho where Smith was only able to put one shot on goal, the sophomore was able to convert all four of her shots on goal into the back of the net at Southeast Community College as the Red Devils earned a 13-0 win. This season, Smith ranks second in the KJCCC in goals (11), fourth in assists (5), and first in points (27). Smith also ranks in the top 50 in all three of these categories nationally which includes 17th nationally in goals.
Maddox Fergus (Johnson County) – Johnson County sophomore goalkeeper Maddox Fergus helped the Lady Cavaliers extend their record shutout streak to nine straight matches by stopping all four shots she faced to post a 7-0 shutout at Highland. It is her third shutout of the season and 10th of her career. She stands 4-0-1 on the season. The award is the fourth of the season for Fergus who has also been named NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week during week three of the season.
