COLBY, Kan. – First-time award winners Tatum Bresette of Johnson County and Grace Aguirre of Highland Community College are the week eight Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week following their performances for their respective teams in last week’s action.
COLBY, Kan. – First-time award winners Tatum Bresette of Johnson County and Grace Aguirre of Highland Community College are the week eight Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week following their performances for their respective teams in last week’s action.
Tatum Bresette (Johnson County) - JCCC freshman midfielder Tatum Bresette had a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win over Allen and scored one additional goal in a 7-0 win over Hesston to help power the number two-ranked Lady Cavaliers to a pair of conference wins last week. Bresette is currently tied for fifth in the conference with 10 goals scored on the season.
Grace Aguirre (Highland) – HCC freshman Grace Aguirre recorded 11 saves on 12 shots on goal with one goal allowed in a 1-1 tie with Neosho County on October 9th, with a (.917) save percentage. Grace then recorded nine saves on 10 shots on goal with one goal allowed in a 2-1 win against Allen on October 12th, to give the Scotties their first conference win of the season. For the week, Aguirre recorded 20 saves facing 22 shots and only allowing 2 goals with a (.909) save percentage.
