Johnson County's Maya Wallace Named NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC – After being named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, Johnson County Community College forward Maya Wallace has been named the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performances in matches against number 12 Scottsdale Community College and number four Phoenix Community College.
CHARLOTTE, NC – After being named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, Johnson County Community College forward Maya Wallace has been named the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performances in matches against number 12 Scottsdale Community College and number four Phoenix Community College.
With the number three-ranked Cavaliers opening their season with a pair of ranked matchups in Arizona, Wallace finished the weekend with five total points as JCCC finished with a 3-3 tie against the 12th-ranked Artichokes and a 2-2 tie with the number four-ranked Bears. Against Scottsdale, Wallace scored two of the three goals for Johnson County and followed up her performance with an assist against Phoenix as the goal came with just 25 seconds left in the match to secure the 2-2 draw.
Wallace is the first player from the KJCCC to earn NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors this season.
