CHARLOTTE, NC – The newest NJCAA Division 1 and 2 Women’s Soccer Rankings have been released with little movement coming among Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools as six schools are still inside the top-20 of their respective rankings.
Like in past weeks, four of the six teams from the KJCCC that are ranked this week find themselves in the NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Top 20 poll with NJCAA Region 6 (KJCCC) joining Region 14 (East Texas) as regions with multiple teams ranked in the top 10 of this week's poll for a second-straight week. Three of the four teams from the KJCCC that are ranked in the poll hold the same ranking as last week, with Butler (6), Cowley (14), and Hutchinson (17) all seeing their ranking unchanged. The lone change in the poll for week four comes as Kansas City Kansas Community College drops one spot from ninth down to 10th this week after earning 1-1 draws with Hutchinson and Cowley last week.
In the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer Top 20 Poll, Johnson County continues to hold an unbeaten record following a 6-0 win at Hesston in their lone game last week while moving up one spot to number two in the latest poll. The Cavaliers are one of five still unbeaten teams ranked in this week’s poll, joined by top-ranked Northwest Mississippi Community College, number three-ranked Phoenix College who JCCC tied earlier in the year, number 15 ranked St. Charles Community College, and number 20 Mississippi Gulf Coast. Joining Johnson County from the KJCCC in this week’s rankings is number 16 Neosho as the Panthers hold their same ranking from a week ago.
Only one ranked matchup is scheduled to take place this week across the conference in women's soccer with number 17 Hutchinson going to number 14 Cowley for a 5 PM contest on Wednesday, September 26th. The Blue Dragons sit one point back of the Tigers in the KJCCC standings as Cowley will enter the game with a 4-2-1 overall and conference record while Hutchinson is 4-1-3 overall and 3-1-3 in the KJCCC.
